Kotatsu is a chat app with fictional characters whose replies are generated by an AI model. The characters are not real people. Their replies can be wrong, inconsistent or unhelpful. Nothing they say is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact local emergency services or a crisis line (988 in the United States, findahelpline.com elsewhere).
You must be 18 or older. Do not use Kotatsu to generate sexual content, content that sexualises minors, harassment, hate, or instructions for harming yourself or others. The app filters such content and repeated attempts may result in the free tier being suspended for your device.
Kotatsu Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly), each with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase after the trial. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings. Prices are shown in the app before purchase.
The characters, their names, art and writing are owned by the studio. You may not resell or redistribute them. Conversations you create are yours.
Replies depend on a third-party AI provider. Service may be interrupted or changed. We may retire characters or adjust the free tier with notice in the app.
Kotatsu is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, the studio is not liable for any loss arising from use of the app or reliance on anything a character says.
