Lapis ยท Rock & Crystal Identifier โ last updated September 3, 2026
Lapis is operated by Forma ("we"). This policy explains what the Lapis iOS app does with your information. In short: Lapis has no user accounts, and we keep as little as possible.
When you identify a stone, the photo is sent to our processing service and to our AI provider (Google) solely to generate an identification, then discarded โ we do not keep a copy of your photos on our servers. The photo and its result are saved only on your device so you can see your collection. Deleting the app removes them.
We do not require an account, name, email, or login. We do not sell data, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Purchases are handled by Apple and by our subscription provider, RevenueCat, which processes a random app-generated identifier and your purchase status to unlock Lapis Pro. We never receive your card details.
We may collect basic, non-identifying crash and usage counts to keep the app working. Our identification service records a temporary, coarse rate-limit counter (by network address) to prevent abuse; it is not used to identify you.
Lapis is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
You can clear your saved collection at any time in the app, and manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings.
