1. What Trellis is

Trellis is a planning and organisation tool for families navigating US college applications. It provides a calendar of typical deadlines, a checklist organised by school year, a measure of how focused a student’s recorded activities are, and general educational material.

2. What Trellis is not

Trellis does not predict, estimate, or influence any admission decision. No number in the app is a probability or an estimate of a chance of admission. Trellis does not provide individualised counselling, and it is not a substitute for a school counselor, a licensed professional, or the admissions office of any institution.

Trellis is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any college or university, the University of California, the California State University, the College Board, ACT, the Common Application, or any competition or summer program named in the app. Those names are used only to describe publicly known dates and requirements.

3. Accuracy of dates and information

Deadlines, requirements and program details change every year and vary by institution. All dates in Trellis are typical windows for orientation only. You must confirm every date and requirement directly with the school or program. We make no warranty that any information in the app is current, complete, or applicable to your situation, and we are not liable for any missed deadline or opportunity.

4. Licence

Subject to these terms, you are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Trellis on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell the app or its content.

5. Subscriptions

Trellis Plus is an auto-renewing subscription offered monthly or yearly, each with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, after any free trial. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the period. You can manage or cancel in your Apple ID account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region.

6. Your content

Everything you enter stays on your device. You are responsible for it, including for backing it up; deleting the app deletes it permanently and we cannot recover it.

7. Disclaimer and liability

Trellis is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forma is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Changes and termination

We may update the app and these terms. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. We may discontinue the app, in which case any unused portion of a paid subscription is handled under Apple’s refund policy.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
