Questions

Are the recipes authentic?

They are home cooking, written from scratch for Sesame, and they lean on the flavors each cuisine is known for: gochujang, dashi, fish sauce, sambal, tamarind, curry leaves. Where the protein was raised, the recipe says how (more meat or tofu, an extra egg, yogurt in the marinade), so you can put it back the way your family makes it.

How accurate are the macros?

They are estimates, worked out from standard ingredient data for the quantities in the recipe. Real numbers vary with brands, cuts and how much ends up on the plate, so expect a margin of about 10 to 15 percent. Sesame is not medical advice; if you have a medical condition or a clinical protein target, check with a clinician or dietitian.

I do not eat pork, or I am vegetarian. Does it still work?

Yes. There is a pork-free filter and a vegetarian filter, and the vegetarian mains still clear 30 g of protein a serving with tofu, tempeh, eggs, paneer and edamame. Low-carb, spicy, under-30-minutes, air-fryer and meal-prep have their own filters too.

What is free and what is Pro?

20 recipes and the Today screen are free. Pro unlocks all 120 recipes, the four 7-day plans, the grocery list and the filters: $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, both with a 7-day free trial, billed by Apple.
